state conference admission to the Principal of the member
school.
- Eligibility
for CMEA or California Music Education Foundation grants
that may be offered to school music programs.
- A
subscription to the CMEA Magazine.
- Updates
on standards and assessment in music.
- Availability
of advocacy materials related to music and arts education,
and information about the latest scientific research
concerning music education.
- Recognition
on the CMEA website and in other appropriate CMEA publications
of the school’s membership.
- An
official "institutional member" certificate
that can be displayed in an appropriate location in
the school.
- Teacher
and program evaluation by selected music education professionals
when requested. (Additional reimbursement of expenses
are required for these reviews.)
Membership
dues are for the academic year, September to August and
are due September 15 of each year. Each school must be
an individual institutional member of CMEA for that school
to receive benefits. Benefits of institutional membership
accrue only to the school and are not a substitute for
the individual membership of the school’s music educator(s),
collegiate or TriM student members who are associated
with the school. |
