  • Elementary school, general instrumental teacher with ability to teach instrumental

  • Expertise with or willingness to learn Suzuki approach to music education as well as being able to

  • teach Strings

  • Plans a balanced general music program

  • Demonstrated success in collaborative planning with other music teachers and classroom teachers

  • Understanding of California content standards in music

  • Demonstrated expertise and success in communication with parents

  • Ability, experience, and willingness to provide accommodations for mainstreaming of special

  • education students to access music content, including co-­‐‑ teaching an adaptive music classes

  • Ability to prepare all students for musical performances throughout the school year

  • Manage inventory and instrument sign out


  • Valid California Credential and NCLB compliance in Music. Credential compliance can be accomplished through supplementary authorizations in Music or Single Subject credential in Music.
